چکیده

Background There is a lack of understanding the clinical significance detrusor contraction duration (DCD) measured on urodynamic studies (UDS). We aimed to identify patient characteristics, presenting symptoms and parameters associated with DCD in women. Methods Using single-institution database UDS (2015-2019), 405 female patients measurable contractions were identified. Baseline analyzed. Bladder outlet obstruction (BOO) was characterized using Blaivas-Groutz nomogram. Wilcox Rank Sum Tests used for descriptive statistics, univariable generalized linear model conforming gamma distribution used. Results Median age 65 years (IQR 52-75), BMI 27.5 kg/m2 23.9-31.1) 90 seconds 57-124). On analysis, degenerative disc disease (β = -17.9, p 0.02), pelvic radiation -31.91, 0.04), stress incontinence -14.11, 0.03) reduced DCD. Black race longer 22.92, 0.01). Analysis revealed significant increase per unit bladder capacity 0.08, p<0.001), pressure (Pdet) at maximum flow (Qmax) 0.96, Pdet 1.2, p<0.001). In contrast, decrease noted Qmax -1.43, Finally, mild 34.4, moderate 72.52, severe 64.6, p<0.001) BOO all increased Conclusions women seconds. Longer greater degree BOO, higher Pdet, Qmax, capacity. Disc disease, irradiation are Further needed evaluate predictive value

Urodynamic Detrusor Overactivity in Patients with Overactive Bladder Symptoms

PURPOSE To evaluate the relationship between urodynamic detrusor overactivity (DO) and overactive bladder (OAB) symptoms in men and women. METHODS We reviewed the records of adult males and females who attended a tertiary referral center for urodynamic evaluation of OAB syndrome symptoms with the presence or absence of DO. DO was calculated for symptoms alone or in combination. RESULTS The ...

INTRODUCTION There is a multiplicity of treatments currently available for patients with symptomatic refractory urodynamic idiopathic detrusor overactivity (SRU IDO). We have assessed patient treatment preferences and their outcomes over a 12-month period from January 1 2009 to December 31 2009. PATIENTS AND METHODS A retrospective database of all patients with SRU IDO was reviewed for patien...

OBJECTIVE To analyze the lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and video-urodynamic characteristics of women with clinically unsuspected bladder outlet obstruction (BOO). METHODS From 1997 to 2010, a total of 1605 women with bothersome LUTS received video-urodynamic study in our unit. We reviewed the charts of 212 women diagnosed with BOO based on video-urodynamic criteria and 264 women without...

OnabotulinumtoxinA improves urodynamic outcomes in patients with neurogenic detrusor overactivity.

AIMS To evaluate the effect of onabotulinumtoxinA on urodynamic outcomes in patients with urinary incontinence (UI) due to neurogenic detrusor overactivity (NDO). METHODS Results from two pivotal Phase III trials (n = 691) were pooled. MS or SCI patients with NDO, received intradetrusor onabotulinumtoxinA 200 U (n = 227), 300 U (n = 223), or placebo (n = 241). Change from baseline in UI episo...
